    Primary Use:

    Epoxy Protective Coating we offer in the form of Perma Master Coat Clear can be used in concrete or metal tanks as a protective coating. Known for its waterproofing property, it can be used on walls as well as floors.

    Typical Application:

    Sealer for concrete floor, stones, cement tiles, marble etc.

    Guide To Application:

    The product is very easy to apply and can be applied to perfection using lamb wool rollers. Apart from rollers, a stiff bristled nylon brush can also be used for coating the product on any substrate for getting an even and smooth finish. Two coats of the product needs to be applied for optimum results and there should be an interval of 8 hours or more between the first and second coating application.

    Chemical Resistance:

    Perma Master Coat Clear we offer has excellent chemical resistance. The product is resistant to attack by the following chemicals:

    • Acetic Acid 5% solution
    • Aviation Hydraulic Fuels (skydrol)
    • Diesel-Oil
    • Formaldehyde 40% solution
    • Hydrochloric acid 50% solution
    • Nitric Acid 10% solution
    • Sulphuric Acid 30% solution
    • Vegetable oils
    • Wine

    Perma Master Coat Clear, may sometimes change color when exposed to certain environments. However, the chemical resistance and efficiency of the product does not get affected in such cases.

    Over Coating:

    Any area that requires over coating should be properly cleaned and abraded. A rotary wire brush or sand paper can be used for the process. This will help in giving adequate key and initiate the over coating process with ease.

    Directions For Use:

    Surface Preparation

    The substrate on which Perma Master Coat Clear Coating is to be applied should be smooth/semi smooth and of concrete or metal.

    Concrete

    The concrete should be sound and free from any impurities that mainly are found in the form of grease, oil, curing compounds, and more. It is recommended that cementitious or epoxy repair system are then used for dealing with blow holes and surface imperfections of any kind. The laitance removal process from the concrete may demand requirements of wire brushing, degreasing, acid etching,  grit blasting, etc. Also, the concrete should be at least 28 days old.

    Steel

    Previous surface treatments of any kind should be scraped and removed. The steel should be in the form of the base metal, which further needs to be abraded and shot blasted. The surface is then cleaned and any kind of greasiness or surface debris are carefully removed using a solvent or a detergent. Perma Master Coat Clear should be applied before the surface re-oxidizes.

    Mixing

    The product is supplied in the form of two components - Base and Reactor. Both reactor and base contents should be mixed together and then stirred to form a uniform paste. Stirring should be done in a gentle manner using a hand drill fitted with a paddle. Apply two coats of this mixture for treating the surface.

    Equipment Care:

    Good quality cleaning solvents should be used for cleaning all equipment after use. Break periods of more than fifteen minutes also calls for thorough equipment cleaning.

    Health And Safety:

    Epoxy products if incorrectly handled will result in skin rashes and eye irritation. Therefore, use protective gears and clothing like hand gloves and goggles while using the product.

    Shelf Life:

    Perma Master Coat Clear has an extended shelf life of 12 months (1 year) from the date of manufacture.

    6 to 8 sq.mtr/kg/coat. 2 coats recommended.
